Things To Do in The Smoky Mountains
Area Events
T he Smoky Mountain's historic towns of Sylva, Dillsboro, Cullowhee, Bryson City, Cherokee, Franklin, Cashiers, Highlands, Maggie Valley and Waynesville are each unique in their own way and never farther than 30 minutes away from the next town.
Each of those towns have entertainment venues with music or stage productions throughout the year and maintain event calendars on their town websites.

Concerts on the Creek – Fridays at 7 pm, Memorial Day thru Labor Day. Bridge Park in Sylva. Free and open to the public. Bring a chair or blanket.
John W. Bardo Fine and Performing Arts Center – An elegant 1,000-seat performance hall on the campus of Western Carolina University, in Cullowhee. It plays host all year long to a series of arts events by regional, national and international guests.

An Appalachian Evening Concert Series – Stecoah Valley Cultural Arts Center, Stecoah. Saturdays, July thru August.
Big Wesser – An open-air restaurant on the banks of the Nantahala River. Live music weekends May thru September.
Nantahala Brewing Company – Bryson City brewery has music most weekends throughout the year. Also brewery tours / tastings.

Harrah's Cherokee Casino – Concerts, shows and big name entertainment in a 3,000 seat Event Center.
Music On The River – Friday and Saturday evening concerts in downtown Cherokee, Memorial Day thru Labor Day.

Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts – A 1,500 seat state-of-the-art concert hall. Entertainment includes musical performers in a variety of genres including country, bluegrass, gospel, pop, contemporary Christian and more; as well as musicals, comedians, illusionists, and professional dance groups, movies and motivational speakers.
